Being a stylist by profession, I am always on a lookout for style workshops, seminars and webinars so that I can upgrade my knowledge and keep up with the latest trends. There is something about live interaction that online reading and watching videos cannot compete with. Last month on the 18th of February, I got a chance to be a part of a style workshop, hosted by NEXA. It was a glamorous event, with fabulous people and wine. I could not have asked for a better Saturday evening.
Luxury is a lifestyle for a lot of people, it is a lifestyle for me as well and NEXA is doing its part real well at promoting the same in a rather stylish manner. NEXA, Maruti Suzuki’s premium dealership in India truly lives up to its premium brand value. Making waves across the nation,their motto is not just offering a car but a unique lifestyle experience for the ones who like to live a luxe lifestyle. Keeping the same motto in mind, the brand hosted this fabulous event in collaboration with GQ, a world renowned men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine. They traveled from city to city and finally came to Bangalore, giving me a chance to attend the event.
At the venue I got a chance to meet Mr. Akshay Tyagi, a celebrity stylist who is quite a charmer himself. As a suit lover I was looking forward to the workshop. It started off with introducing the importance of a well tailored suit, the fit, the fabric and the silhouette -three things that you should always keep in mind before investing in a suit. Mr.Tyagi demonstrated on a model, various day and night looks, telling us how to play with colors, prints, patterns, accessorizing and how to match an accessory with your attire, amongst other tips. After the session got over, we had a Q & A session where the audience got a chance to clear their doubts. Later we interacted with the style guru personally and shared a few candid moments which ofcourse was followed by the cheese tasting and wine. So it basically was an evening well spent!
